This project is about how I picture the future of cycling. The recent decade of cycling is about numbers, what's the power output, the bike stiffness, aerodynamic efficiency in the wind tunnel and so on. Cycling has become more and more strategic than it used to be as we now have tools to quantify the sport. However, I feel like things can step a bit further which most of the data are collected in the laboratory and the data varies between different environments, riders and settings. Hence, I come up with the concept of a rig that mounts on a rider's back and collects all sorts of information like GPS, CO2 output, hydration level, etc. Eventually, replace the computer and sensor on the bike and provide data that can only be collected in laboratories.
In this project, I create a prototype model, a commercial image and an advertisement if such product exists.
